We wouldn’t be able to protect our national treasure without the support of the community. If you’re looking for ways to get involved, we have plenty of options. You can join our membership program, donate your time, or make monetary donations. Here’s everything you need to know.
Join Our MembershipYour membership supports the Friends of the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge in engaging the general public and visitors to the Refuge, raising awareness of the importance of preserving the Northern Everglades ecosystem, improving the public recreation facilities, and more. As a member, you’ll receive an annual membership card, a 10% discount on all purchases in our Nature Store, a subscription to our digital newsletter and communications, invitations to member-only events, and more.
Volunteer Your TimeVolunteers are the backbone of the Refuge. More than 100 active volunteers collectively contribute over 10,000 hours of service to the Refuge every year! As a volunteer, you can staff the Nature Store, welcome the public at the Visitor Center desk, conduct interpretive walks, maintain the refuge lands, organize events, and more. Whether you’re able to volunteer 1 hour or 100, we’d appreciate your time.
DonateWhether you’d like to donate as an individual, family, or through a Donor Advised Fund or Charitable Foundation, we would be extremely grateful. Friends of the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
If you’re not able to join the membership or donate, just sharing information about our refuge with friends and family can be a huge help. We consider ourselves to be the citizen keepers of the Northern Everglades, and want people of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds to experience the magic of nature and the outdoors.
