Seeking Public Comment for Limited Alligator Hunt in 2013
The Refuge is considering allowing a limited alligator hunt, potentially beginning in the fall of 2013. It is anticipated that a total of eleven permits would be issued, with two alligators allowed per permit. The alligators would have to be over five feet in length. Hunting would be limited to specific weekends, and to specific areas within the Refuge. The proposal is outlined in detail in the documents below. Please send any comments to Deputy Refuge Manager Rolf Olson by October 31 at: rolf_olson@fws.gov
