We Need Volunteers!
On your visits, have you noticed folks working throughout the Refuge who were not dressed in the Fish & Wildlife uniform? Conducting interpretive walks, answering questions in the Visitor Center, helping with the store? If you have, then you have seen the volunteer program in action. We have over 100 active volunteers who collectively contribute over 10,000 hours of service to the Wildlife Refuge every year.
There are many different ways that you can help the Refuge, and it doesn't require a massive commitment. In fact, there are some volunteer jobs that can be done from the comfort of home. These opportunities include:
We Need Friends!
Don't you? As a member of the Friends of the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge you join other people who treasure our natural heritage. You will meet them at the Refuge, at membership events, and at the annual membership luncheon.
Your support will help us preserve the only National Wildlife Reserve in the Northern Everglades. It will help us serve audiences of all ages, particularly the children who will care for the future of the Refuge.
Most of all, you will be supporting our national treasure...the Everglades.Click here to become a member!
